Get To Know Meagan Gilbert PA-C

Meagan attended and earned an undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University with a degree in Biology (Whoop!). After teaching public high school Chemistry in Carrollton for 5 years after graduation, she learned her passion was practicing medicine. She attended and graduated from University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston with a Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies.

 

She started her career in Urgent Care but quickly learned her passion and joy was in gastrointestinal diseases, where she has been practicing since 2016. Having relocated from Austin to North Texas to be near family, she is excited to bring her experience to our team. She enjoys all aspects of GI medicine from functional disorders to inflammatory conditions as well as hepatopancreatobiliary disease. An important part of her practice is providing thoughtful but evidence based medicine solutions, and she strives to stay up to date with the latest recommendations, protocols and treatment modalities.

 

Meagan finds the most gratifying part of being a Physician Assistant is the ability to be an advocate for her patients and working with them towards a more productive and functional life by improving the outcomes of their health journey.

 

When not working, Meagan enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, watching soccer games or cheerleading competitions. She is an avid reader and also enjoys cooking/baking and organizing her home. She is looking forward to meeting you soon!
