Colon Cancer Awareness Month: Colonoscopy Myths Debunked

Every March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month, and we try to spread education regarding our fight against Colon Cancer. Colon Cancer is still one of the more prevalent cancers in the US, with 149,500 estimated new cases and 52,980 deaths in 2021.


Rather than discuss all the reasons to get screened this year (you can check out last year's post here for some of the compelling reasons), I decided to debunk some of the myths I hear for why some patients do not want to schedule their colonoscopy.
